This height gauge is used in the final adjustment procedure of the lever height for Sherwood Brut and Octo second stage.

With the second stage pressurised, the ideal demand lever height position should be 3/16" above the housing. This can be checked with the height gauge: by sliding the height gauge over the lever, it should touch the lever without causing an airflow. If this is not the case, adjustment of the orifice is necessary until the correct height is achieved.
